Shoes are the new pies, at least when it comes to throwing them. In England today, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao was giving a speech when a protester stood up, called him a dictator, and threw a shoe at him, missing him by about three feet. Meanwhile, in Tikrit, Iraq, they unveiled a statue Thursday to honor journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi, the man who threw his shoes at then President Bush while calling him a dog.
